hougham is located north of Grantham and just 2 miles off the A1. In 1330 a fair and market was founded. The Norman style church contains a monument to Sir Hugh de Bussey (said to have been senior among the Knights Templar). Hougham did once have its own train station on the Grantham to Newark line.
