woodhall spa is a village located about 33 miles north east of Grantham and has a colorful history. The population had more than trebled in 2001 compared with 1901. In 1811 several attempts to find coal was unsuccessful and the enterprise was abandoned on account of the now rising spring. In 1834 the water was found to be valuable so became the Spa Baths and Victoria Hotel.
