Links Taxis are licensed by the South Kesteven District Council who have a recommended fare guide that taxi companies may use, however not obligatory. This means that so long as taxi companies inform the council and display accurate information about their rates in the vehicle, the companies can set whatever rates they want. This, I feel has a negative effect on the trade and the paying public who may feel confused and angered by such a price difference from one taxi company to another.

   
 

The current rate that SKDC recommend is a £1.50 start and then £1.80 a mile or part thereof on rate 1 which is between the hours of 6am and 11pm.
 

 

 
15percent Due to being an independent taxi company, Links Taxis has no massive overheads such as an office or weekly board rent.
